A WOMAN police officer is understood to have been injured while helping control a fracas outside the Spar shop in Cinderford.

Police say the officer suffered minor injuries after what was threatening to turn into a full scale brawl on the street outside the store and nearby kebab shop at around 1am on Sunday (September 25).

An 18-year-old man from Cinderford was arrested for affray and formally cautioned. A 25-year-old from Somerset and another 22-year-old man were questioned on public disorder offences, but no further action taken.
