CALDICOT Male Voice Choir gave a rousing rendition of Happy Birthday for their oldest member, Bill Nash.

Mr Nash, who was 97 last Thursday, has been a member of the choir for 50 years.

He said: “I enjoy the craic and I love singing, especially male voice singing.”

Mr Nash – whose family came from Sling near Coleford – travels from his home in Bristol twice a week for rehearsals at the choir hall in Mill Lane.

He says he is not planning to retire from the choir.
