POLICE have launched an appeal to find a "vulnerable man" who hasn’t contacted his family since yesterday morning (Monday, July 31).

The family of Benjamin Gardner from Cinderford last heard from him when he left an address in the Lydbrook area.

A sighting of the 28-year-old was later reported at 7pm at the Speech House in Coleford, and he may have then travelled on a bus to Cinderford where he was apparently spotted again at 11pm.

Officers say they are concerned for his welfare, but want people to contact them if they see him rather than approaching him.

He is described as white, of slim build, 5ft 5ins tall, with brown cropped hair, a moustache and was wearing blue jeans, brown sandals, a light brown jumper and glasses.

Call 101 and quote incident number 189 of 31/7 or give information through the Missing People charity on 116 000.
