POLICE are investigating after a man arrived at the Dilke Hospital with a cut to his forehead and other injuries this afternoon.

The man was later transferred to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for treatment.

A witness who saw the man at the Dilke said: "He was covered in blood."

A spokeswoman for Gloucestershire Police said: "We can confirm the at around 2.15pm (Friday, April 6) a man attended Dilke Memorial Hospital in Cinderford with a cut to his forehead, along with other injuries.

"Officers are investigating the circumstances around the injuries and the man has been taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for treatment."
