POLICE are hunting three ‘teenagers’ in connection with an alleged robbery and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
The incident happened in Cinderford around 10.15pm on Monday, November 4, when a man waiting to be picked up by friends at the junction of Somerset Road and Victoria Street was allegedly punched and scratched.
A Gloucestershire Police spokesperson said that three males, believed to be aged between 16 and 18, were involved in the incident.
“There was some verbal interaction between the man and the group, who asked for his money then assaulted him punching and scratching his face and damaging his coat.
“They stole a small amount of cash and some tobacco.”
The police have issued descriptions of the trio they want to talk to, who are are all described as being white, of slim build and about 5ft 7ins tall.
The first is described as having “ginger spiky hair, with acne on his forehead”.
“He was wearing a lightweight Puffa style jacket with black stitching separating the panels, and dark jogging trousers.
“His lower face was covered with a grey scarf with a Nike logo,” said the police spokesperson.
“The second was wearing a black tracksuit, and a dark beanie hat with tracksuit hood over the top.
“He also had a scarf across the lower half of his face, and was riding a GIANT mountain bike with front suspension only.”
“The third was wearing a green waterproof coat with the hood up and drawstring toggles pulled tight to conceal the face and black jogging trousers.
“He was also on a mountain bike.”
Anyone who saw any part of the incident, or has any information which would help police with their enquiries, is asked to call Gloucestershire Constabulary on 101 quoting incident 392 of 4 November.
