BURGLARS broke into a Chinese takeway in the middle of the night and ran off with the till.

Police believe two young men broke into the Golden Kitchen Takeaway on Mitcheldean High Street just before 3am on Monday morning (July 16).

A Gloucestershire Police spokeswoman said: “We’re appealing for witnesses to a burglary which took place in Mitcheldean during the early hours of the morning.

“It’s believed that two men entered the takeaway before leaving with a till and running in the direction of Platts Road.

“The offenders are described as two white men who were around 17-20 years-old. One of them was wearing a black long sleeve top and the other was wearing a silver/grey top.

“The man in the black top is thought to have been carrying the cash draw of the till.

“Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area or has information about the burglary is asked to call 101 with incident 42 of 16 July.”
