I AM as sorry as anyone else for the immigrants who are fleeing their countries but taking in thousands of people is not the answer.

What these people who are telling other countries what they should be doing don’t realise is that numbers multiply.

If we continue as we are doing now we shall end up in the situation that Germany was in during the 1930s.

I admire Germany for what it is doing but it is a much bigger country than ours and the population was greatly affected owing to thousands being killed in the last war.

No Prime Minister from any country needs to feel guilty because they have their own responsibilities towards the public which should come first.

This country, along with several others, has been suffering austerity for years. How can taking in more people improve the situation?

The truth is it will make things worse.

The suggestion that the public should take any of these people into their houses is completely irresponsible.

It shows no understanding of the culture, language or anything else.

Worse still, elderly people who are living along are not considered in any way.

The answer to the crisis is to sort out the problems in other countries and to send these people back.

Another thing which should be done is to stop fining lorry drivers and firms for something which is obviously not their fault.
