HER Majesty Queen Elizabeth II wrote a letter to everyone
at Yorkley Primary School over the summer.
Teaching assistant Kate Fyffe said: “Class three held a celebration tea party to mark the Queen’s birthday in April and the children wrote to Her Majesty to tell her how much they had enjoyed being part of the birthday celebrations.
“They were delighted to get back to school after the summer holiday to find that they had had a reply. The letter explains that her lady in waiting, Susan Hussey, has signed it because the queen received so many letters of congratulation over the past few months.”
The Queen also sent the children a photograph with her ‘grateful thanks for the kind words you have sent to me on the occasion of my 90th birthday.’
