A FREE police workshop this Thursday (October 19) at Gloucestershire College’s Five Acres campus looks at how to stay safe online.

Organised by Gloucestershire Constabulary, the event will cover multiple aspects of using the internet including ransom­ware, passwords, monitoring children’s usage, phishing emails, applications, public Wi-Fi risks, digital footprints, cyber-bullying and grooming online.

“This session is designed to help people understand those risks and show them how they can reduce them and keep themselves, and their families, safer online as a result.”

The free workshop will begin at 7.30pm and will last approximately 45 minutes.

Doors will open at 7.15pm and those who attend will have the opportunity to speak to a member of the Digital Intelligence Unit and a local officer after the talk.
