BBC Radio 4’s Any Questions? will be live from Wyedean School and Sixth Form Centre in Sedbury next week.
Jonathan Dimbleby will be chairing lively discussion on Friday, January 12 from Conservative MP Graham Brady, the chairman of the 1922 Committee, Labour Whip Thangam Debbonaire, the Director of the Institute of Ideas Claire Fox, and Times columnist, broadcaster and former MP Matthew Parris.
School principal Rob Ford said: "We are very proud to host BBC Radio 4’s Any Questions? from Wyedean School. The ethos and culture of Wyedean is very much about asking questions of those who are in power and being to take part in dialogue and discussion about the wider issues that impact our lives and futures.
"This is a fantastic opportunity for the school community and our local community to listen to and question directly leading policy and opinion makers at the start of 2018 with so many important fascinating local, national and international issues to be settled in these uncertain times.”
Tickets are available free and can be collected from reception at the school between 9am and 3pm weekdays.
A maximum of four tickets will be available per person on a first-come first-served basis and those attending must be at least 14.
Doors open at 6pm with refreshments available at The Big Bean Café, and the audience are requested to be in their seats by 7.20pm, with the show broadcast live from 8pm to 9pm.
The programme will be repeated on Saturday lunchtime at 1.10pm, and is followed at 2pm by Any Answers? - a phone-in which gives listeners a chance to join in the debate by calling or e-mailing Anita Anand.
Around 1.5 million people will be tuning in to hear the programme broadcast from Wyedean.
