The life-saving machines were presented to Chepstow School, Caldicot School and Mounton House special school in Chepstow.
The machines, which cost around £1,000 each, can help keep people alive after cardiac arrest.
The defibrillators were presented to the schools by Jack’s Appeal which is working with the charity Welsh Hearts.
The appeal was set up by June and Grant Thomas following the sudden, unexplained death of their 15-year-old son, Jack.
The 6ft 3in teenager was apparently fit and healthy but died suddenly at his girlfriend’s house in 2012.
Mrs Thomas said: “We wanted to get a defibrillator into every high school in Gwent and now we have achieved that.
“We know that one person is alive today because of one of the defibrillators we put into a school.”
