SCHOOL pupils are leading the way on Thursday (April 25) when they grab litter-pickers and bin bags to clean up their town.

Pupils and staff from Primrose Hill Academy, Severnbanks Primary School and the Dean Academy will gather in Hams Road car park at 1.30pm to take part in Lydney Town Council’s annual community litter pick.

Cllr Harry Ives said: “Representatives from Lydney Hub and the town council will also be present for the afternoon of litter-picking to clean up the town.

“We will move from Hams Road car park to Lydney Lake along the river path, circle the lake and return. In previous years the schools have been very positive about this event and the community values it teaches their children.”
