AS the weather finally warms up, road crews are hard at work in the Forest of Dean.
Spokesperson for Gloucestershire County Council, Sarah Black said: “We’re carrying out a programme of surface dressing to improve skid resistance and road safety. In most cases roads will be closed while work takes place.”
The Review has been told that the following roads are affected from August 24 or 25:
A4136 Ladygrove Business Park, Mitcheldean to A40 junction, Huntley
Bradley Court Road, Mitcheldean to county boundary
B4216 Newent Lane, Huntley
B4215 Ledbury Road, Newent
B4215 Dymock (Ledbury Road to Whittingtree Farm)
B4234 from Parkend to Whitecroft
In addition, the Review has been made aware of phased Highfield development access work in Lydney to complete two central islands and carry out resurfacing works between Aylburton and Lydney. This will take place between Wednesday, August 3 and Friday, September 23.
Surface dressing work is weather dependent, so to find out whether it’s on track, go to www. gloucestershire.gov.uk/ surfacedressing or follow @GlosRoads on Twitter.
