There has been a significant number of letters objecting
to the sell off of the Forest.
This proposed sell off was not unexpected under the
coalition government. The Conservatives have a history of
selling off everything in sight, starting off with Amersham
International at the start of Thatcher's reign through
electricity, gas, water, transport and many other vital
industries.
It must be rather galling for a party which is
avowedly anti Europe to realise that most of these
concerns are now owned by French, German and Spanish
companies.
22,853 people voted for Mr Harper in the last
election and are directly responsible for the number of
MPs the Conservatives have in parliament. 10,676 people
voted in this constituency for the Liberal Democrats and
are indirectly responsible for the coalition. It would be
good to hear their views on the sell off.
