He said he felt sure hundreds of Foresters would be most interested in the picture, which had been given to him and his late wife.
"It shows the church and nearly a dozen old-timers, plus a horse and carriage. Now there's only the clock tower with no church."
The church had been demolished along with the former town hall which he said were "both full of character".
And Mr Rosser – 84 next month – ends with a plea over the present work going on around the clock tower: "Please don't blame the hard working contractors".
