IT'S thumbs up for one of the district's smallest school following a glowing Ofsted report.
Redbrook School, which has just 50 pupils, scored highly on every count with top marks for pupils and staff.
The pupils were said to have good attitude, be well behaved, achieve well, attend regularly and to be above average in English, mathematics and science.
At all levels the quality of teaching was judged "very good".
And there is praise for head teacher Gaynor Connor and the Governors.
A summary of the Inspection Report says: This is a very good school where pupils achieve very well. Standards are well above average in English, mathematics and science by the end of years two and six. Teaching and learning are very good throughout the school. There is very good leadership by the head teacher, who is supported very well by the staff. The management of the school is very good and the governing body supportive and well-informed."
In a statement the school says the report proved small schools could provide children with an excellent education plus the bonus of personal support and understanding within a family atmosphere – a fact also emphasised by the excellent report by the Diocesan Inspector.
