THE man who died after being struck by a train on the line between Aylburton and Lydney station has been named as Terence Hawkins, 67, of Oakfields, Coleford.

A British Transport Police (BTP) spokesman said: "Mr Hawkins, of Oakfields, Coleford, died after being struck by the 0613hrs Cardiff Central-Cheltenham Spa service at around 7am on 1 July.

"Officers from BTP and Gloucestershire Police, together with colleagues from the ambulance service attended the incident and Mr Hawkins was pronounced dead at the scene.

"His death is being treated by BTP as non-suspicious and a file is being prepared for the Coroner."
