MORE than 500 schoolchildren have been transported to the world of King Arthur and Merlin in a series of drama workshops at Caldicot Castle.
And although the present workshops conducted by actors from the CENTRed Theatre Company finished last week, the players will be back from August 21-25 with another series for adults and children.
They will also be performing Merlin's Child, a play based on the Arthurian legend, on August 27.
Jenny Vickery from Caldicot Castle said: "The actors bring alive the legends of King Arthur with a local landscape that the children can recognise.
"The workshops have already proved extremely popular with teachers and with the children."
