COINCIDENTALLY with Dr. Daphne’s request for support in the Review, I offered to give one day a week delivering meals to people who needed support in our community, with mixed motives.

I wanted to give something back into the community but was also needing a bit of company.

I applied to become a delivery driver. What a surprise. I was greeted by the recipients with a smile and pleasant chat while serving up their meal.

Guess who gained the most from the experience, me or the recipients? I reckon it was 50/50.

They need more helpers. Are you stuck in a rut, looking for a lift in mood? Well then, volunteer.
