CHRISTIANS across the Forest marked Good Friday with ‘walks of witness’.

In Cinderford, Drybrook and Cinderford, Christians from different denominations carried crosses to remember the sacrifice of the crucifixion.

The Cinderford procession started at the Triangle, led by the Salvation Army band, with hymns and readings followed by more readings at the Co-op.

It finished at the Methodist Church in Belle Vue Road with a final reading and hymn followed by a welcome bowl of soup and bread roll provided by the ladies of the church.

In Lydney, Churches Together, gathered at the parish church of St Mary’s and walked to the Co-op in Newerne Street where there were hymns and readings.
