HAS Gethyn Davies made an effort to check the car parks at Lydney, Cinderford and Coleford during the day since the car parking charges have come in? I would say not!

You can pick and choose where to park now.

It is very obvious people are boycotting these car parks and shopping further afield where they don't have to pay. Hence, all our local shopkeepers will suffer and in time, may have to fold their businesses.

Where will the council get rates from then? It's alright for the likes of Gethyn Davies. He doesn't have to pay to park. As a councillor he has a free space. He also has to remember the salary he receives as a councillor would enable him to pay for parking with no problem, whereas a good many of the shoppers are pensioners who have to watch their spending. Even parking starting at 20p an hour is an extra expense.

What level will the district council stoop to next to fleece council's taxpayers to pay for their exorbitant lifestyles?
