WHILE we welcome further discourse and education around the boar and wholly support the by-law against feeding wild boar, we will have nothing to do with the boar solutions group while they accept killing of wild boar.

As ever, we would accept a contraceptive approach to control but feel the first step must be the acceptance that we are re-wilding this animal and giving it protection as a re-introduced native species.

Greater protection must be given against the endemic poaching that occurs in the Forest. Only in a rural area would criminals with guns be given such free rein.

The only protection all our Forest wildlife have of an evening and night is the boar sabs. Repeated attempts to highlight this problem have met with

a half-hearted response from Gloucestershire Police and the Forestry.

We will not let our message be diluted by committee.

We will not step aside our disrupting the cull and stopping poaching.

We will not leave the fate of our wild boar to councils and committees.

– Sab the Boar Cull.
