FURTHER to the mention in last week's letters page the UK Wild Boar Trust would like to introduce themselves more fully.

The Trust's founders are of the belief that education is paramount in helping to achieve a successful co-habitation with wild boar. The primary founders of the Trust are also key members of another conservation group which not only confirms their true commitment to conservation and the wildlife within our environment but gives evidence of their experience and abilities.

We welcome support from people who share our passion for our wildlife and it will never be our place to dictate in what manner an individual should choose to protect a creature from human persecution of lack of understanding.

We utilise our knowledge and skills in any way possible to promote our aims. Social media is one of the ways we choose to do so.?There are an increasing number of people who will read media such as Facebook, more often than they would a paper or book. Whilst such media continues to attract high audience levels, at zero cost to the Trust, we will continue to use it.

Residents of and visitors to the Forest can additionally pick up a copy of our new leaflet which is already in place at main attractions such as Beechenhurst and Cannop Cycle Centre.?We would be delighted to hear from anyone who is in a position to have copies available for the public to read.

With the support of patrons including Iolo Williams recognised for his work on BBC?Spring/Autumnwatch, we remain open to co-operating with any individual or organisation in an endeavour to protect the welfare of our wildlife.

– UK?Wild Boar Trust.
