Around 40 former workers from the doomed container manufacturers, Lydney Building Concepts, met with union bosses at Lydney Rugby Club on Tuesday.
Talks took place with Graham Grindle of the TUC and Christine Starling of Unite.
The men were among 98 workers who lost their jobs when the business went into administration last week.
