STEAM lovers had a double treat with not one, but two appearances, by the world’s most famous locomotive along Severnside.

The tours on Friday evening and Tuesday lunch-time drew hundreds of admirers.

One enthusiast reckoned there were 500 people on Lydney station alone on Friday evening and other stations were also full.

At Severn Tunnel Junction on Friday evening, a piper struck up Scotland the Brave as the train thundered towards the border.
