THE Forest of Dean Athletic Club has planned an impressive line up of events for this Olympic year starting with a mixed relay around the Adidas trail on April 29.

Protech windows of Cinderford is sponsoring the club and MD Leyton Fleet said: "I am very pleased to support the Athletics club in any way we can, they support the local runners through their expert training sessions and dynamic coaching and I look forward to seeing our company name on the race numbers in the mixed relay in April."

Vice chair of the club Peter Compton said: "We are very pleased to be working with a local business. These funds will go to support the Forest based races we are running this year."

The Forest of Dean Athletic club welcome everyone to their training sessions at Five Acres Campus, with senior men and women of all standards training on Tuesday and Thursday at 6.15pm. Secondary school children train on Tuesday at 6.15pm and primary school children train on Saturday from 9am-10.30am.

Anyone can also join the club's free 5km parkrun every Saturday morning at 9am.
