LYDNEY’S biggest haul of goals in this season’s Conference North was not enough to register a first win.

The Foresters have found life tough in the league this season as they do not have enough players for a second side.

The team includes several young players and the three goals scored against the visitors from Wiltshire will be a confidence boost but Lydney remain rooted to the bottom of the table after 11 games.

Lydney Ladies remain in eighth position in the West Women’s Hockey League despite a 1-0 defeat at second-placed Clifton II.
