TOP place medals were awarded to all gymnasts from a local club when they competed at the Gloucestershire Women’s Apparatus Championships held in Bristol.

“The Forest of Dean Gymnastics Club had a very successful day,” said club spokesperson Lynn Hammersley.

“At level five, Florence Eaton won silver overall in the age 10 junior competition.

“She came second on vault, second on beam and third on floor and bars, which was an excellent result.

“In age nine, at level five, Eden Addis won bronze and also took third place on the beam.

“Experienced gymnast Charlotte Cotterell won silver overall in the level four, age 13+ category.

“She took second on beam and floor with two personal best new moves in her bar and floor routines.

“The team was small due to injury and the early date of competition, but all the girls competed well.”
