SEVERN Tunnel Non-Pol B kept it in the family on Saturday when they entertained Chepstow Town B in the East Gwent League Division 2 match at Rogiet.
Thanks to the A team's match at Mathern Wanderers falling victim to the weather, Tunnel B's manager Ron Atkins was able to line up with his sons, Tom, 18 and 16-year-old Sam.
Tom helped to give Tunnel the lead when he set up Pete Edwards but Town hit back with a deserved equaliser.
A stunning 30-yard strike by Scott Millinship restored Tunnel's lead but their opponents levelled again thanks to a deflected shot.
Tunnel thought they had taken the lead yet again from a free-kick but it was ruled out by the referee.
But Ron said he was delighted with his team's performance.
"Both teams were well matched and we might have edged it but for Town's keeper who was in very good form," he said.
"It was great to be able to line up with both my sons. Tom normally plays for the A team but as they didn't have a match, I was able to name him in the B team."
