A FORMER Lydney RFC player returned to the club’s Regentsholme base to talk health with current club members.

Marcus Morley-Jones was forced to retire from the game after injuring his wrist but was keen to maintain his links with health and fitness.

Initially working with the Prince’s Trust, he founded Nutrition Group Plus and he has since been part of the Growth Hub at the University of Gloucestershire.

The 22-year-old said: “I established our health and fitness support network platform with the Prince’s Trust and they put us onto the growth hub at the university which is a brilliant organisation.

“When I snapped my wrist, I wanted to stay associated with health and fitness and so I created a network which I wish I had had access to.”

Marcus says the network will be a community organisation and will be formally launched in January next year with monthly awareness raising events in the meantime.
