THE sports programme in the Forest of Dean was savaged by the torrential storms which hit the area on Saturday.

Berry Hill’s Wadworth’s Glou- cester Premier game was the only match which went ahead.

In very difficult conditions, Hill came up just short against the Gloucester side, who were just above them in the table before kick-off, leaving the hosts still looking for their second win of the campaign after one win from six.

Over at Cinderford, the game against Hull Ionians, bottom side in National One who are still winless, was postponed.

Westbury’s Gloucestershire Two North game at Minchinhampton also fell victim to the rain.

Drybrook made the trip to Cornwall to face Cambourne in the South West Premier and were edged out 26-25.

Lydney were also on the road but their trip to Somerset also ended in defeat when they lost 19-13 to Bridgwater and Albion.
