Gloucestershire County League Divison One
Broadwell Amateurs 1-0 Bromley Heath
----
A SINGLE goal was enough to earn Broadwell Amateurs three much-needed points against fellow strugglers Bromley Heath.
A goal by Steve Belfitt brought Broadwell level on six points with the visitors from Bristol.
A slightly worse goal difference keeps the Foresters in last but one position in Division One of the Gloucestershire County League.
And Broadwell have also played two more games than Saturday’s visitors, so there is still work to do.
But the Forest side were helped by the fact that bottom-of-the-table Patchway Town were on the receiving end of a 7-0 thumping in a Bristol derby at the hands of AEK Boko.
There are now three points between Broadwell and Patchway with the Forest side having a 16-goal advantage on the bottom side.
Elsewhere in the division, Ruardean Hill Rangers’ game was abandoned after a serious injury to one of their players ‘Tinchy Tingle’.
The incident forced the abandonment of the game at Little Stoke just after half-time.
On social media, the club thanked their hosts for their assistance.
