A CINDERFORD teen has been selected to represent the National England Talent Development Squad for under-15s girls’ rugby.

Charlie Mann, aged 14, was awarded this honour after demonstrating a great attitude in transferring the successes of Regional Representative Rugby. She was identified and selected by scouts who saw her talent develop while playing for South West England.

Having represented Gloucestershire at several games and tournaments over the last few months, the Year Nine Forest High School student is ecstatic to have been chosen to train with such an elite band of players.

Charlie said: “I’m over the moon and overwhelmed at what I have achieved so far. I’m extremely proud that I have also made my family proud of my achievements.”

Charlie is now looking forward to the ‘England Talent Development Experience’ over the coming months to truly demonstrate the ability she has shown so far.

Head of PE, Mr Hopkins added: “I would like to wish Charlie all the best with this experience as it is fully deserved and is a true recognition of all the hard work and commitment she has shown to representing herself in girls’ rugby.”
