CINDERFORD’S calamitous start to 2016 continued as they shipped 47 points away at Ampthill.
The previous week they conceded 37 points at home to Blackheath and with the Foresters now bottom of National One it makes next week’s basement battle at home to Wharfdale even more important.
A Sam Hanks interception try converted by Callum Sheedy closed the first half scoring but by that point the Bedfordshire side had already crossed the line four times and added the points to three of them.
Ampthill went over for a fifth try, which was converted, before replacement hooker Tom Bozzard made a quick reply in kind which was again converted by Sheedy.
Against high-fliers Blackheath the previous week, the Foresters managed one try in reply to the Londoners.
Nev Codlin’s touchdown brought Cinderford back into the game after a couple of early penalties but the visitors went back to London having scored a total of five tries.
