DRYBROOK under-13 girls are Gloucestershire county cham-
pions for the third year running.
The girls, all aged between 11 and 13, travelled to Tewkesbury for the Gloucestershire Rugby Football Union (GRFU) county cup and won every single game. The young players beat Wyevern 25 -15, Cinderford 30-15, Berry Hill, 35-5 and Old Richians 35-10 to take the county title.
Tournament try scorers for Drybrook were Lily Mae Walker (eight), Haidee Field (six), Lyla Freeman (three), Shannon Wintle (two), Amelia Clarke (two). Dionne Eaccups, Charlotte Probert, Ebony Pendery and Olivia Smeeth each scored a try.
Club chairman, Paul Mason says: “This is an amazing achievement. Not only have the girls won for three years, but they are also unbeaten in all their games this season. Girls and ladies rugby at Drybrook continues to lead the way.”
