CINDERFORD Town put the icing on the cake of a spectacular season by claiming the Champions’ Cup.

As Southern League Division One South and West winners, the Foresters took on the Division One Central winners Kings Langley.

Late goals from Sammie Hicks and Ethan Moore meant disappointment for the Hertfordshire side.

The Foresters won the right to entertain Kings Langley after securing their first-ever Southern League title with a win over Taunton Town.

The league shield was presented to Town ahead of Saturday afternoon’s kick-off and the Champions Cup win means that no visitors to The Causeway have gone away winners.

The celebrations lasted into the evening with the club’s annual awards.
