Coleford Town Reserves 2–2 Newent Town Reserves

COLEFORD Town Reserves left it late to salvage a point against third-placed Newent Reserves.

A Nic Watkins corner was hit home by Liam Howard to salvage a result for Coleford and deprive the visitors of two precious points.

Coleford twice had to come from behind to get the result with Watkins getting the first with a header from a cross in the 37th minute.

Sanchez Grange scored both Newent’s goals, the first from a break in the 25th minute and he restored the lead exactly 40 minutes later.

Coleford piled on the pressure in the last quarter, eventually forcing the crucial corner.

The result means that Newent are now four points behind second-placed Worrall Hill, who won 1-2 at leaders Mitcheldean Reserves who now have a two-point lead at the top of the table having played two more games than Worrall Hill.

Coleford remain in sixth, five points ahead of Lydbrook Athletic who drew 3-3 at Ruardean United.

In the division’s other games, Harrow Hill A beat Whitecroft A 3-1 and English Bicknor Reserves won 0-2 at Ruardean Hill Rangers A.
