Ruardean Hill Reserves 2-2 Redbrook Rovers

-----

IT was honours even in this meeting of the division’s two bottom clubs as Ruardean came back from 2-0 down at half-time to earn the draw.

Redbrook have five points from 20 games, but at the break must have thought they were on their way to their second win of the season.

The point earned in this game means that Rangers are now three adrift of Harrow Hill Reserves in 11th.

Goals by Connor Tyson and Matthew Bennetto gave the visitors a two-goal cushion going into the break.

But Ruardean hit back with Aaron Bennett and substitute Andrew Coleman scoring to deny Redbrook and share the points.

Harrow Hill are still in the relegation mix though, after a 4-0 defeat at seventh-placed Coleford Town.

At the other end of the table, Staunton and Corse extended their lead at the top over Broadwell Reserves who were on cup duty.

The 2-1 win at Westbury means the leaders are six points ahead of Broadwell who have three games in hand.

Coleford’s scorers were Ryan Smith, Blaine Smith, Frank Pemberton and Tommy Tomlins.

Worrall Hill came back from 2-1 down at half-time to earn a 3-3 draw at Mushet and Coalway. And in the only other league game of the weekend, fourth-placed Bream Amts went down 3-2 at Redmarley.

Meanwhile, Broadwell booked their place in the JO Roberts Cup final with a 2-1 win over Milkwall, who are fourth in the first division.

The second semi-final was an all-Premier division affair with eighth-placed Huntley entertaining Howle Hill, who are three places above them in the table.

The home side won 1-0 thanks to a second-half strike by William Freenan.

The final between Huntley and Broadwell will take place at Huntley Recreation Ground on a date to be confirmed.
