ANT Hull’s superb 80th- minute strike gave Ruardean Hill Rangers A victory to leapfrog their hosts Viney St Swithins Reserves.

Hull was 25 yards out when he hit the target with 10 minutes of the match remaining.

In a hard-fought and competitive game, a solid performance by Ruardean ensured the three points.

Ruardean’s second win of the season saw them move up to seventh in the table.

The hosts, who also have two wins under their belts, slipped to 11th, one off the bottom spot.

Whitecroft A moved to the top of Division Two after leaders Ellwood Reserves slipped up.

Whitecroft took the points with a 3-1 win over Mushet and Coalway, Tom Coleman, Lewis Edwards and substitute Ashley Edwards getting the goals.

Ellwood went down 3-2 at Longhope with Steve Clark grabbing two goals and substitute James Barnes adding the third.

The scorers for the visitors, who are second on goal difference ahead of Milkwall Reserves, were Andrew Martin and Daniel Lord.

Milkwall picked up a 3-1 win away at Redbrook Rovers Reserves with their goals coming from Matt Brown, Paul Ransome and Mark Yearley.

In the division’s only other game, Yorkley went down 2-0 at home to Staunton and Corse Reserves.
