Lydney Town Reserves 5-0 Stroud Harriers

SKIPPER Harry Williams scored twice as Lydney Town Reserves finished their season on a high. 

It’s not been the easiest of campaigns for the seconds with calls-up to the firsts contributing to an uneven season. 

But Lydney went into the summer break on a high with this win against fourth-placed Stroud, scoring twice before half-time. 

Joining Williams – who has taken the skipper’s role over from the injured Ricky Elliott – on the score sheet were Jacob English, Tom Maxted and Charlie Powell. 

Also finishing the season with a flourish were Ruardean Hill Rangers who had already been crowned Northern Senior League champions. 

Luke Brown scored twice and there was one each for Luke Johnson and substitute Stuart Cornwell-Boote as the Forest side beat Taverners 4-2. 

Ruardean won the league by 10 points and with a massive goal difference of 80, having won 22 of their 28 first division matches.
