Tidenham 7-0 Westbury Reserves

-------

WESTBURY United Reserves remain rooted to the bottom of the North Gloucestershire first division following this drubbing on the Welsh border.

Craig Hanson — the league’s second-highest scorer — led the charge for Tidenham with four goals and he has now averaged one score for each of his 16 appearances this season.

Ryan Shipp, who is also in the top 10 goal scorers this season, added another to his tally and is also averaging a goal a game for his 14 appearances.

The other scorers in the division’s game of the day were Andrew Short and Marc Murphy.

Despite the win, Tidenham remain in fifth place as fourth-placed Lydney Town A won 0-3 at Redmarley.

In the division’s other results, second-placed Mushet and Coalway narrowed the gap with a 1-3 victory at leaders Harrow Hill Reserves.

Hill’s margin has been cut to three points with both sides having played 14 games although the leaders have an 11-score cushion on goal difference.

In the only other game in the first division, third-placed Lydbrook Athletic were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Blakeney.
