Whitehouse Press North Gloucestershire League Division Two

Bream Amts Reserves 1-3 Longhope

----------

LONGHOPE moved into fifth in North Gloucestershire Division Two with victory over strugglers Bream Amts Reserves.

The visitors were 3-0 up before Bream grabbed a late consolation goal and they find themselves just two places above Lydbrook Athletic A.

Longhope went into the break a goal to the good thanks to the first of a brace from Steve Clark.

He doubled the lead and Josh Ridler added a third.

Leaders Ellwood Reserves now have a three-point cushion thanks to a 4-3 over Whitecroft who started the day in second, but dropped to fourth with this result.

Bottom club Lydbrook Athletic A scored four goals at Milkwall Reserves but still found themselves on the wrong end of the result.

The home side won 7-4 with a hat-trick for Paul Ransome and one each from Daniel Gray, Dave Wells, Dan Wilkins and Josh Winstone and move into second.

Staunton and Corse Reserves are now third after a 4-0 home win over Redbrook Rovers Reserves.

In the only Division Two game this weekend, Yorkley drew 1-1 with Rank Outsiders

There were eight goals at Woolaston where the Reserves beat Mushet and Coalway United Reserves 6-2 to move into the quarter-final of the Geo Sandoe Cup where their reward is a clash with either Bream Amts Reserves or Milkwall Reserves.

Harry Spencer hit two for Woolaston Reserves with Carl Adams, Kyle Taylor, Gavin Thurston and Tyler Trattles also finding the net. Both Mushet’s goals were scored by Liam Howard.

The other two definite quarter-finalists are Tidenham – who will face either Longhope or Blakeney – and Mitcheldean who will play either Whitecroft A or Rank Outsiders.
