WOOLASTON claimed the points which saw them rise four places to seventh in the Northern Senior League Second Division.

Second half goals from Sam James and Riley Spencer gave Woolaston their fourth win this season.

The first half was evenly matched with neither side making a breakthrough although the visitors probably edged it – but the game changed within minutes of the re-start with Woolaston’s opener.

Lydbrook, who have lost all four derbies this season, came back into it with an equaliser from Dan Morgan after around

20 minutes.

The home side put together some good chances but went behind against the run of play when Woolaston scored with about

15 minutes to go.

That set up a hectic finale with both sides pressing for the goal but Woolaston hung on to claim the victory.
