Young players from Caldicot joined thousands of others across the rugby community to show their support for former international Gareth Thomas.
The ex-Wales international was subjected to a horrifying homophobic attack in Cardiff.
Caldicot RFC’s under-15s showed their support for the star, known affectionately as Alfie.
In their recent game against Bristol side Frampton Cotterell, the youngsters donned rainbow armbands in a show of solidarity against intolerance.
Parents also showed their support by wearing rainbow ribbons.
The teenagers also made a sign declaring their support for the ex-full back who came out as gay in 2009.
There has been support for Thomas across the world of rugby.
The 44-year-old posted a video on Twitter showing injuries to his face and saying he had been targeted because of his sexuality.
