LYDNEY RFC under 8s didn't let the soaking wet weather stop them from playing a cracker of a game at the weekend against Bath RFC.

The team finished the end of the season on a high as they played three impressive games against the unbeaten Bath teams coming away with two wins and one draw.

They were applauded by not only their supporters but parents and coaches on the opposition.

Coach Deiniol Bidmead said: "Both under 8s coaches were approached by the three Bath under 8 coaches and were told that Lydney were the best side they had played this season, and that we had made a massive impression. They also couldn't believe that Lydney played three games against fresh legged players and kept up the same standards right the way through out."
