CHEPSTOW Netball Club stayed top of the South East Wales League with another win.

Opponents Grifters attacked strongly in the first half and Chepstow had to work hard for their two-point advantage.

Precision shooting from the Grifters gave them an 11-point advantage at the halfway point.

Controlled possession play by Chepstow enabled them to reduce the arrears to six by the end of the third quarter.

Chepstow stepped up the pressure in the final quarter and the Grifters' lead came under attack in the last 15 minutes.

Stamina and determination turned the game with a quick succession of goals in the closing moments forcing panicked play from the Grifters.

Chepstow sneaked ahead and finished a tense match as 37-34 winners. Player of the match was Louise Wood.
