ROSS’S former Glou­cester and Berry Hill fly-half Lee Osbourne took full advantage.

Of the opportunities handed to him by a series of mistakes by the home side.

Osbourne slotted over five penalties as the visitors dominated this Gloucester Division Two derby.

Westbury misfired across the park and were 7-0 down early in the first half and found themselves chasing the game for most of the 80 minutes.

The home side’s points came from the boot of full-back Rhys Gardner but Westbury were always on the back foot.

“We were poor from one to 15 – Ross were the better side on the day and deserved to win.

“We had a good turnout at training but it just didn’t happen on the pitch.”

The win, the third in four matches, puts Ross in third place in the table while Westbury, who now have one win in three, are in ninth.
