THE Cinderford School of Tae Kwon-Do's first tournament of 2012 was the South Midlands Championships in Hereford.

Nine year-old Isabelle Lloyd from Ruspidge, who entered her first competition, picked up a bronze for a great performance in the sparring category.

Cinderford School of Tae Kwon-Do entered a number of tournaments in 2011.

In May, seven members entered theirr first tournament and Raven Williams became the first competition medal winner, coming home with gold in Tag Team Sparring from the Welsh Open in Cardiff.

At the end of November, four members enter the British Championships in Telford, and Jess Summers came away with silver for sparring in her first Tae Kwon-Do tournament. The following week, at the Welsh Closed in Newport, the school had another four great silver successes: Jess Summers and Maisy Harvey for their sparring, and Craig Hewlett and Jake Ward-Kear for their patterns.
