HUNTLEY have adjusted well to life in the first division of the KW Bell Forest League with a win over visitors Penallt and Redbrook taking them to second in the league.
The home side won the toss and in the summer sunshine decided to bat, eventually posting 205-8.
Top scorer was Ollie Hall with 57 and the others who made a sizeable contribution with the bat were Charlie Gayther with 28 and Richard Bowman with 24.
For the visitors Chris Margetts picked up three wickets for 33 off his six overs and Lyndon Jacques returned figures of 2-24 off eight overs.
In reply Penallt and Redbrook were restricted to 141-9 in their 40 overs, falling short of Huntley's total by 64 runs.
Richard Bowman inflicted damage with 4-30 off seven overs with Matthew Abbot and Stephen Wood each picking up a couple.
Top scorers for Penallt and Redbrook were Margett with 29 and Gwynn Jones with 22.
Phil Warren, of Huntley, said: "We weren't in this division last year and it's been a good start. We lost our first game but we've won them all since.
"We retained all our players from last year and we have some good juniors coming through."
