JACK Batcock posted an undefeated half century for Lydney Seconds while Jamie Blake tore into the reply with six wickets for 25 runs.

David Kear was not far behind Batcock with 45 and the other contributions to the home side's score came from Tom Legge with 33, a knock of 32 from Jordan Stone, James Bishop with 26, 13 from Ben Nelmes, Curtis Russell with 10 and four from Lance Evans.

The visitors, who are bottom of the division, did not help their cause by giving away 25 extras including 20 wides.

Callum Miller claimed two wickets with the five balls he bowled and there was one each for Corey Notley-Barnard and Ben Nelmes.

Lydney are currently joint third with Corse and Staunton.
